NEON PISS

You can download the demo tape here at Terminal Escape.

OR

If you happen to live in SF or the bay area you should go see them play in the Mission tonight! And if you're lucky get your grubby paws on one of their piss colored demo tapes! (Sweet flyer done by yours truly, with lingering inspiration from John Waters!)

Nausea #1

I found this little gem in my mailbox with the postage stamp reading "Brasil" and was instantly excited.

I reviewed this zine for the newest issue of MRR which will be out in January. So don't forget to buy a copy when it comes out!

Here is the translated version of the intro. from their website:

"The first edition of NAUSEA zine is ready!

Eighty pages of very underground: reviews, many exclusive photos, interviews with Canadian INEPSY (one of the most promising bands of today, already owns a style copied by many!). It has also SPEED KILLS, a new band and very cool interview, Mick and Matthias of 7 MINUTES OF NAUSEA, one of the loudest bands on the planet for over 25 years, give the guys and show that noisecore still lives!

Just before the South American tour we spoke with Leon Apokalyptic Raids on, among other things, the new album from the band and the direction and shape music is taking. Bruno Carubi raises the good times of one of the best shows of 2010: EXTREME NOISE TERROR! And in almost 20 pages full of exclusive photos, Jean Canuto dissects a field full of details and testimonials of the most controversial albums in the history of RATS IN BASEMENT, the "Rest in Peace. " Finally, special materials and detailed with RATTUS DOOM and the accompanying story interview, discography and an exclusive CD with the two bands.  "

Up the Punx

The San Francisco Chronicle was one of the sponsors for the John Waters benefit show at the Roxie Theatre. Apparently the reporter really enjoyed my "costume", I replied "Actually, I to dress like this all the time".

Good Morning

I am currently listening to a mash-up of the new MaximumRocknRoll radio show (posted last night by my lovely roommate Layla) and the Future Terror tape off of the Terminal Escape blog.
My good friend Robert runs the Terminal Escape blog and always has good gems on there. And he usually does one post everyday. ( Can you imagine his tape collection?!)

Good Morning indeed!

However I am still fukkn pissed that someone stole my bike seat on Saturday!!! While I was working!!! I mean c'mon what are you going to do with a bike seat at 6:30 AM !?! Sell it for crack perhaps . . .

Speaking of bikes, here is one of my favorite Fixed Gear stores from across the globe: C.R.E.A.M. Barcelona. CREAM stands for Cash Rules Everything Around Me, very tongue in cheek with a little socio-political commentary. I hope they get their webstore up and running soon, so I can order a racing cap. I am also in love with the intro to their website done by Hector Ferreno. It is a teaser or intro for his documentary called "The Begining" which tells the story of the Barcelona fixed crews. He also takes photos documenting the fixie polo scene as well.

I've seen a lot of bike and skate videos but this one is absolutely beautiful. The way he shot the riders doing tricks makes it look like they are in a ballet. The fluidity of their motions seem so natural. I can't wait to see the rest of the film! Me gustaria!
